The Wallen Delta Mount & Antenna System

Wallen's super low loss Delta system, incorporating Air Coil technology on gain models, is the result of extensive R&D to perfect an easy to install antenna system that is strong enough to withstand the rigours of motoring whilst performing to perfection. The mounts and antennas are validated for use in all Police and Emergency Service vehicles and able to reduce RFI problems which can cause potential interference to vehicle electronics and also concern for EMC safety.

The advanced Delta range of antennas and mounts has the look and feel of quality. They cost no more than other alternatives that are less installer and vehicle friendly. Indeed they are so simple to install that they can actually reduce installation costs.

An inner ring of high earthing contacts set inside an outer ring makes for perfect central location of the mount in a 19mm diameter hole when installing from outside the vehicle. Clever design prevents the earthing contacts from tearing body panels whilst providing positive earthing. Alternatively, the Delta Mounts can be installed from inside the vehicle through a 12mm hole.

Three termination options make for flexible choice for the installer. Delta Mounts can be supplied factory terminated or alternatively with an integral FME socket for the co-axial cable connection or even without feeder co-ax, for easy and direct termination by the installer where the co-axial cable is already installed.

Options include a range of fixing lengths including customisation on reach as well as ground plane kits for GRP or plastic vehicle bodywork.

The Wallen Voltage Convertor Range, featuring ICM for safe shutdown. Wallen Antennae powers back into the vehicle power supply arena with VC-S, a brand new concept in 24-13.2V switch mode voltage convertors featuring IMC, Intelligent Monitoring Circuitry. The unique designs represent a major innovation in voltage convertors. The VC-S range has been developed specifically to provide high performance and reliability, as well as a soft shut-down control circuit to obviate short circuit, overload and wiring fault problems, protecting not only the equipment driven, but also the vehicle wiring and systems.

If a fault situation occurs, the intelligent shutdown circuit switches in so fast that the protective fuse on the output side of the convertor will not blow. Furthermore, the converter will continue to run at maximum current all day if there is no fault and notably, with an over-specified design, the convertors are capable of providing continued operation even at 20% overload.
